ILDEFE (León Institute of Economic Development, Training, and Employment) organizes every year the Economic Activation Conference, a meeting aimed at promoting business development, employment, and entrepreneurship in the city of León. 

Event summary (2026 edition):  The XXV Economic Activation Conference will be held from March 10 to 12, 2026, at the León Oeste Civic Center and brings together experts, companies, and professionals to analyze the trends that are transforming the economy and the labor market.

 Event objective: The main objective is to bring knowledge and opportunities closer to entrepreneurs, companies, and job seekers, showing key aspects to adapt to economic and technological changes. 

Main topics of the 2026 edition: The conference focuses on three main areas: 

  • Technology as a driver of businesses and employment (digitalization, artificial intelligence, innovation).
  • Talent and new labor models in the job market.
  • Welfare economy and health as an emerging sector with economic potential.

    What happens during the sessions

    During the event the following take place:

    - Lectures by experts and company executives.

    - Debates on economic and technological trends.

    - Success stories and business experiences.

    Among the speakers is the Supercomputing Center of Castilla y León (SCAYLE), partner of NCC SPAIN, which will present the EuroCC project.

    All of this aims to generate ideas, networking, and business opportunities for the local business network.
