We invite OpenFOAM users to join this workshop, primarily those who already run simulations on Komondor, and secondarily those who currently use smaller HPC resources and are preparing to transition to Komondor. The organizer/presenter manages the OpenFOAM installations and related documentation.
During the workshop, we will:
- Present Komondor-specific configurations and demonstrate the advantages of using environment modules.
- Show how to use VSCode to connect to Komondor.
- Review the available OpenFOAM modules and explain what runs behind the scenes.
- Demonstrate how to measure memory usage as recommended in the documentation.
- Discuss ideas for monitoring convergence.
- Highlight the specifics of working on a shared HPC system (Komondor).
- Share tips for post-processing and evaluation (including using ParaView).
- Examine how parallelization scales for small and large cases and what efficient HPC usage means in practice.
