Containerization is a lighter form of virtualization where applications and their dependencies run in isolated containers on the same operating system kernel.

During the workshop we will learn about Docker and Singularity. Docker is an open-source platform that allows applications to be packaged, shipped and run in containers, and Singularity is a containerisation technology specifically designed for high-performance computing HPC environments. We will clarify basic concepts and walk through the workflow together.
