On 7 September 2026, EuroCC Italy will take part in the second webinar of the “Highlights from the NCCs” series, promoted by CASTIEL 3 to showcase experiences, services and best practices developed by European National Competence Centres during the third phase of the EuroCC project.

The webinar, entitled “Private Cloud HPC for Businesses: a NCC Italy success story”, will focus on the experience gained by EuroCC Italy in developing an HPC Private Cloud service for businesses. The event will provide a practical overview of a model for accessing high-performance computing resources designed to meet the needs of companies that want to use HPC without necessarily investing in the development and management of their own infrastructure.

A flexible model to bring HPC closer to businesses

The adoption of HPC technologies can generate significant benefits across a wide range of industrial applications, from numerical simulation and large-scale data analysis to the development of artificial intelligence solutions. For many companies, however, access to these technologies may be limited by technical complexity, infrastructure costs and the need for in-house specialist expertise.

The HPC Private Cloud solution developed by CINECA within EuroCC Italy was created to help overcome these barriers by providing a flexible, secure environment that can be configured according to specific business requirements.

During the webinar, participants will learn more about:

  • the main benefits of this approach;
  • the development process behind the service;
  • the technical aspects that define how it operates.

The webinar will also provide an opportunity for discussion within the EUROCC 3 – CASTIEL 3 network, encouraging the exchange of experiences among National Competence Centres and organisations interested in developing new services for accessing advanced computing infrastructures.

Participation is open to the entire EUROCC 3 – CASTIEL 3 network, as well as to companies, professionals, technical experts and organisations interested in the use of HPC in industrial contexts.

The topics covered during the event are explored in the white paper published by EuroCC Italy and dedicated to the HPC Private Cloud service for businesses.

The document provides further information on:

  • the service model;
  • its main features;
