The final review of Phase 2 of our projects EuroCC 2 & EuroCC4SEE has now been successfully completed, marking a significant milestone in a collaborative effort that brought together 33 National Competence Centres (NCCs) across Europe.
This review was more than a formal checkpoint, it was a valuable opportunity to reflect on progress, exchange perspectives, critically assess both achievements and challenges. The discussions were characterized by openness, honesty, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement. The feedback received was not only constructive, but also highly actionable, providing clear guidance on how to further strengthen the project’s outcomes and long-term impact.
Over the course of Phase 2, the project has demonstrated the strength and potential of coordinated European collaboration. By aligning expertise across countries and institutions, the consortium has built a robust foundation of knowledge, tools, and practices. The active engagement and dedication of all 33 NCCs played a central role in achieving these results, highlighting the importance of trust, communication, and shared ownership in complex, multi-partner initiatives.
The final review also served as a forward-looking platform. Many of the ideas discussed are already shaping the direction of the upcoming Phase 3. The next phase will not only continue existing activities but also expand their scope, deepen collaboration, and further enhance the project’s reach and sustainability. There is a clear sense of momentum, with new opportunities emerging to build on what has been established so far.
A project of this scale and complexity is only possible through strong partnerships. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all partners for their commitment, professionalism, and continuous contributions throughout Phase 2. Their work has been instrumental in turning shared objectives into tangible results.
We also extend a special thank you to the EuroHPC JU project officer and the reviewers for their thoughtful engagement, insightful questions, and constructive feedback during the review process. Their perspective has been invaluable in helping to refine our approach and prepare for the next stage.
With Phase 3 on the horizon, we are entering an exciting new chapter. Building on the achievements of Phase 2 and guided by the insights from the final review, we look forward to continuing this collaborative journey and further strengthening the project’s impact across Europe.
