
he EuroCC4SEE project was successfully presented at the 29th IT IEEE Conference in Žabljak, Montenegro, bringing together national and regional experts in HPC and AI experts. The conference served as a platform for international networking, business-academia collaboration, and knowledge exchange, aligning emerging HPC/AI trends, services, and innovations with the needs of scholars, researchers, and industry professionals.
Project Trade Fair

On February 19, the EuroCC2/EuroCC4SEE (Digital Europe) project was showcased at the Project Trade Fair, presenting the NCC service and training portfolio, EuroHPC supercomputing opportunities, and the transformative impact of HPC and AI on research excellence and industry competitiveness.
Success stories were shared, demonstrating how HPC and AI are driving innovation across diverse industry sectors and research domains.
HPC4 Research Innovation Session
On February 20, the “HPC for Research Innovation” session showcased the seamless integration of HPC computational power and AI-driven algorithms into research infrastructure, accelerating scientific outcomes and innovation. The session featured a series of conference papers addressing real-world challenges through HPC/AI-powered applications. The sessions also emphasised the importance of capacity building and competency development for knowledge-intensive technologies for advanced research and future-proof industry roles.
HPC/AI Expert Round Table


On February 20, during the HPC/AI Expert Round Table, academic and industry representatives assembled to discuss key challenges and innovative solutions for the effective utilization of HPC and AI. NCC representatives from Turkey, North Macedonia, and Serbia shared valuable experience in industry engagement, SME onboarding, and the development of HPC/AI use cases across diverse sectors, including autonomous driving, digital commerce, social networks, bioinformatics, LLM, and climate/weather prediction.

EuroCC4SEE F2F Meeting: Strengthening Regional Collaboration
On February 21, the EuroCC4SEE consortium, comprising representatives from NCC Serbia, NCC Montenegro, NCC North Macedonia, NCC Turkey, and NCC Bosnia and Herzegovina, convened for an F2F meeting to reinforce regional collaboration and discuss joint initiatives. Each NCC shared updates on ongoing activities, achievements, and challenges, discussing collaborative and strategic approaches to regional HPC/AI development. Future initiatives will include a series of SME training sessions based on cross-border needs assessments, co-organizing large-scale academia events, exploring joint PoCs across multiple sectors by consolidating regional expertise, and maximizing the impact of NCC’s regional events to promote HPC/AI synergies and advancements across Southeast Europe.

The EuroCC4SEE presentation at the IT IEEE Conference in Žabljak reinforced the critical role of HPC and AI in driving research excellence, industry innovation, and regional collaboration. By aligning expertise, resources, and strategic initiatives, the EuroCC4SEE consortium will continue strengthening Southeast Europe’s HPC/AI ecosystem.
