We are pleased to invite you to this year’s SLING Days, which will once again be held as part of the Arnes conference Mreža znanja 2025, from 19 to 21 November 2025 at the Four Points by Sheraton Mons Hotel in Ljubljana. This year we are shifting the timing of our event to November and we will have a separate day for discussions between NCCs and AI factories. The event will take place in-person at the Four Points by Sheraton Ljubljana Mons hotel.

 

SLING Days (Slovenian Supercomputing Network Days) is a key event presenting the latest achievements in the field of supercomputing, the activities of the competence centre, and best practices in the use of HPC infrastructure in research and industry.

 

In addition to a rich programme dedicated to supercomputing, the event will also feature new thematic sections, such as artificial intelligence, AI Factories, the connection between supercomputing and open science, and many other current topics.

Programme Overview

  • Wednesday, 19 NovemberEuroCC 2 – Central European Regional Group + AI Factories Meeting  (Dedicated to a meeting of representatives of National Competence Centres (NCCs) and AI Factories (for members of NCCs and AIFs only).
  • Thursday, 20 November – A day focused on the application of supercomputing and artificial intelligence, featuring case studies from research, industry, and the public sector, as well as discussions on the development of European AI Factories. See full programme
  • Friday, 21 November A day dedicated to open science, its connection with supercomputing, and the exchange of knowledge and experience. (The final programme will be available soon.)

Further information is available on the Mreža znanja conference website. Participation in the conference is free of charge, but REGISTRATION is required by 10 November.

For the NCC, CoEs and AI factory representatives we are highlighting the first day of the conference. Focus will be on the ongoing topics and future plans for the NCCs, AI factories and collaborations. Representatives can share different views / ideas / plans from their country and gather the know-how on how things are handled elsewhere in a closed environment.

The programme will be held entirely in English on all three days.

On the first day of the SLING Days (Wednesday, 19 November) there will be also dinner at Ljubljana castle for NCC and AI factory representatives. Please fill in the application form HERETo ensure smooth organisation, please submit your choice by 7 November 2025.

Registration is required for both the conference and the dinner, and participation is free of charge.
