General Information
A two-day on-site workshop at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) in Garching near Munich, focused on Intel’s modern HPC software ecosystem and the oneAPI toolchain. The program combines lectures with hands-on sessions covering Intel LLVM compilers (ICX/IFX), performance optimization, key libraries (e.g., oneMKL), and analysis tools such as VTune, APS, and Intel Advisor. Guidance for migrating from legacy ICC/IFORT compilers is included.
Participants must attend in person (no remote option) and bring their own laptops. Attendees will receive access to the CoolMUC-4 cluster for exercises. A basic background in HPC and programming in C/C++ or Fortran is recommended. The workshop is co-organized by LRZ and Intel for the German National Competence Centre for High-Performance Computing. The event is held in English and includes optional networking and a guided LRZ facility tour.
