This workshop is aimed at researchers and developers who want to adapt the open-source visualization packages VISTLE ↗, COVISE↗ or OpenCOVER↗ from the HLRS visualization toolbox to their own needs.

This two-day workshop focuses on extending and automating the tools through Python scripting and C++ development, working hands-on with the documentation and source code.

We strongly encourage participants to bring their own datasets and visualization ideas to the event. Knowledge of COVISE/Vistle and basic programming skills in C++ and Python are expected.

This course is offered in combination with the preceding course Scientific Visualization (Mon–Tue). The exact timetables for both courses are still being finalized and may be adjusted to ensure a smooth transition between them.
