EuroCC National Competence Center Bulgaria
NCC Bulgaria is the national point of contact for organisations and individuals seeking to adopt High-Performance Computing (HPC), High-Performance Data Analytics (HPDA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). We support businesses and SMEs, researchers, public administrations, educators and future HPC specialists in transforming computational challenges into practical and scalable solutions.
What We Offer
NCC Bulgaria provides a coordinated portfolio of services, including:
- guidance and facilitated access to national and European HPC resources;
- introductory, intermediate and advanced HPC training;
- technical consulting, code optimisation and application support;
- assistance with parallelisation, performance analysis and workflow scaling;
- support for Proof-of-Concept and technology adoption projects;
- consulting on HPC, HPDA and AI funding opportunities and proposal preparation;
- connections with relevant national and European experts, competence centres and research initiatives.
Our support can begin with a short exploratory meeting in which we assess the user’s objectives, computational requirements and technology readiness. Based on this assessment, NCC Bulgaria recommends an appropriate combination of expertise, infrastructure, training and funding opportunities.
Infrastructure and Expertise
Through its partner institutions, NCC Bulgaria provides access to expertise and advanced computational infrastructure supporting CPU- and GPU-based applications, Big Data processing, scientific simulations, engineering design, artificial intelligence and data-intensive workflows.
The available expertise covers parallel programming, application porting, code and workflow optimisation, computational modelling, machine learning, data analytics and the use of HPC technologies in science, industry and the public sector.
NCC Bulgaria also guides users towards suitable national and EuroHPC resources and supports them in preparing their applications and computational workflows.
National Partnership
NCC Bulgaria is coordinated by the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IICT-BAS) in partnership with Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" (SU) and the University of National and World Economy (UNWE). The partners combine experience in HPC infrastructure, scientific computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, training, business engagement and technology transfer.
