Open FOAM

Virtual prototyping has become essential for companies aiming to innovate and grow. With the help of HPC resources, businesses can create digital prototypes that accelerate, optimize, and enhance all phases of the experimentation process within production workflows. In this landscape, OpenFOAM, the open-source computational code, plays a crucial role. With applications in engineering, it proves to be a fundamental tool for any company looking to continue growing.

These topics will be addressed in the new training course by EuroCC Italy, titled “OpenFOAM: An Open Tool for Virtual Prototyping,” scheduled for May 28, 2025, in Bergamo at Kilometro Rosso. More details below.

OpenFOAM: An Open Tool for Virtual Prototyping
May 28th, 2025 | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Kilometro Rosso, Bergamo – Via Stezzano 87

Led by professionals and experts from the Italian supercomputing network, the course is designed for researchers and engineers in Computational Engineering who currently use or plan to use open-source computational tools for fluid dynamics modeling in an HPC environment.

During the course, participants will acquire essential skills in using open-source tools, distributed parallel programming, and numerical methods for fluid dynamics—key competencies for those working in high-tech industries.
