The National Competence Centres (NCCs) have published 173 success stories in the period from 2023 to 2025. These stories focused on varied topics such as Environment, Climate & Weather, Health Care, Energy, LLMs & Communication, IT & Software, Pharmacy & Medicine, Public & Communication, Finance, Natural Sciences & Aeronautics, etc.
Three Success Story Booklets were published during this period. They showcase examples of how High-Performance Computing (HPC) drives innovation and competitiveness across Europe. The continued publication of Success Story Booklets demonstrates the growing impact of HPC across the European network and industry. Each story highlights how access to advanced computing and expert support can unlock innovation, reduce costs, improve sustainability, and create competitive advantage.

NCCs are pivotal hubs for HPC and related technologies, serving as the primary points of contact within their respective countries. Their mission encompasses several key goals: creating a comprehensive and transparent map of HPC competences and institutions to provide an overview of national expertise; acting as gateways to connect industry, academia, and public administration with suitable providers and relevant projects at both national and international levels; and consolidating HPC training offers from across their country, alongside international opportunities, into a single, accessible platform.
The NCCs functioned as part of the EuroCC 2 and EuroCC 4 SEE projects, which received funding from the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (under Grant Agreement No 101101903 and No 101191697).
