Event/Course Description

The aim of the training session was to provide participants with basic information on computational infrastructure available at ICM UW: hadrware characteristics and HPC systems’ usage. The programme was divided into two parts:

  • Introduction to fundamentals of the HPC infrastructure, accessing ICM resources, using a scheduling system, and application modules;
  • Practical („hands-on”) session concerning access to ICM compute systems, running sample applications in MPI parallel environment, navigating the filesystems, etc. It was also an opportunity to communicate with the ICM User Support Team, ask questions, and solve problems.
