While the use of supercomputers is formally very similar to desktop devices, the combination of parallel, multi-user, multi-volume architectures gives new possibilities in terms of more knowledge.

The focus of this entry-level ONLINE workshop is on the supercomputer Komondor, hosted by KIFÜ. The workshop aims to provide participants with the essential basics of using the new cluster in a short, hands-on event. During the event, we will jointly review the hardware and software environment of the machine, the connectivity and data movement options, the use of the SLURM scheduler, the available compilers. The performance measurement methodology for computations on the HPC tool will also be demonstrated through an example.
