This course is aimed at researchers and developers with basic knowledge in numerical simulation who would like to learn how to visualize their simulation results - on the desktop as well as in Augmented Reality and Virtual Environments.
The two-day workshop begins with a brief overview of scientific visualization concepts, followed by hands-on sessions where participants learn to build visualization pipelines in COVISE↗ and VISTLE ↗. Through guided exercises, you will import simulation data, apply visualization techniques such as cutting planes, isosurfaces, and streamlines, and create 3D visualizations for interactive viewing with our tools. The course also covers how to prepare models for Virtual Environments and set up Augmented Reality visualizations.
How to extend Vistle for your project and create automated visualization pipelines is taught in the accompanying course Programming for Vistle↗. The exact timetables for both courses are still being finalized and may be adjusted to ensure a smooth transition between them.
