Event/Course Description

The aim of this module is to give students a clear view of what parallel computing is and what it can do. In particular, this course can provide you with the knowledge to choose a parallel programming model that is suitable for your application and the computing resources available. We will first cover the hardware architecture aspects of the computers, before moving on to the different programming models, with a particular focus on OpenMP and MPI. Given the "Grenoble" context of this training, we will use the resources of the Gricad computing centre, in particular the Dahu cluster.
