The growing demand for high-fidelity simulations in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) necessitates efficient and scalable platforms to process complex numerical models. OpenFOAM, an open-source CFD software, is a widely used tool for simulating fluid flow and heat transfer. This webinar explores the advantages of running OpenFOAM on ARM architecture within the Rescale cloud High-Performance Computing (HPC) platform.
The ARM architecture, known for its energy efficiency and performance, is gaining traction in HPC due to advancements in processor technology. Leveraging OpenFOAM on ARM processors, such as those found in ARM-based cloud instances, presents several benefits. This webinar aims to evaluate the performance and efficiency of running OpenFOAM simulations on ARM architecture within the Rescale cloud HPC platform.
In this webinar, we investigate the computational performance, scalability, and cost of OpenFOAM simulations using ARM-based instances and traditional x86 architectures. The Rescale cloud HPC platform serves as the testing ground, providing a flexible and scalable environment for conducting these experiments and the platform offers a scalable and adaptable infrastructure, enabling users to seamlessly integrate and utilize external libraries within their custom workflows on both Arm and Intel based architectures.
