The EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) was established by the European Union in 2018 with the aim of improving the supercomputing ecosystem and big data infrastructure in Europe, providing support for innovative High-Performance Computing (HPC) and big data solutions. Through this initiative, research institutions, businesses, and other organizations in Europe can access HPC and data processing capacities that can compete globally.
Calls opened under the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking are designed to serve research areas with significant needs in terms of computing time, data storage, and supporting resources, requiring large-scale computing resources. Researchers from academia, industry, and the public sector can apply to these calls. General information about the calls can be accessed on our website.
European Centers of Excellence (HPC CoE) conduct activities and dissemination efforts to optimize the performance of HPC applications in fields such as engineering, environmental science, renewable energy, material modeling and design, molecular and atomic modeling, pharmaceuticals, and chemistry, among others. These activities encompass code and application development, optimizing applications for exascale systems, training and consultancy activities, and transferring an engineering problem to a simulation environment.
Details about both EuroHPC calls, support mechanisms, access policies, and the introduction of Centers of Excellence will be covered in the "EuroHPC Calls and European Centers of Excellence (CoEs) Information Day" event, which will be conducted online via Zoom by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM on March 28, 2023.
